An exaggerated, annoyed sigh was audible from the child, whose impatience had not yet been tampered or steeled into what it was as an adult.
“I do not know the many many reasons you could have for poison, but I do not want to find out too late!” she scolds the older man. “But whatever is closest for you would be fine!” and she picks out a yellow cake from the bazaar of sweets for Reiji to eat.
“Here,” she says in a bossy tone, “eat this one first.”
“My, my, there’s no need to be in such a hurry,” Reiji lets out a chuckle as he approaches the table in a swift manner. A haughty child she is, almost enough to amuse him in some way.
“But first, let us seat ourselves. The chairs aren’t there for no reason.” The man walks behind to the nearest chair by the young lady, “you can seat yourself here and I’ll serve myself some cake. Just as you requested of course.”
A calm smile curves upon his lips, “you may try some sweets to yourself. They are not poisonous… I do not lie, my adorable one.”

It is true… No matter how sinister the man is, Reiji is the kind of man who never lies.
